Preparation & Planning
First, you get to know us and our capabilities and we talk about your project. Whether you’re renovating a single room or cooking up a cunning plan for a one-of-a-kind high country station, we’ll listen carefully to every detail.
Then, we’ll work together to develop plans, schedules, and pricing for your project. If you require the assistance of a skilled architect or draftsman, we can direct you to a professional who is best suited to your needs.
Once an agreement is signed, we’ll apply for permits, begin ordering materials and start scheduling trusted subcontractors. Throughout the project, we’ll meet with you to review progress and discuss next steps. With High Country Carpentry, you’ll always know where your project stands.
At High Country Carpentry, our capabilities include:
Building & Renovating
During site preparation, we bring in diggers to prepare the ground for building, rough-in the driveway, and install electricity, water and waste-water infrastructure. Once these are in place, the concrete slab is poured to form the necessary foundation.
The frame for your home may be built on-site or pre-ordered. Once the framing is up, you can actually walk through the rooms for the first time and get a feel for your new space. Next, the roof framing goes up and roofing is installed.
At this stage the building is wrapped up, the cladding gets under way, and the inside finishing begins. The subcontractors arrive to connect the power, water, phone, etc. Then the interior lining, gib stopping, painting, tiling, appliances and fixtures, lights, and carpet are installed.
Final steps include inspections, punch lists, clean up, and landscaping. With the finishing touches complete, your home is ready to enjoy!
